GENERAL

What should I do if the dishwasher does not switch on?

Check that the plug is inserted correctly in the wall socket; check that the wall switch is in the ON position; and check that no protective device upstream of the dishwasher has tripped. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishwasher does not fill with water?

Check that the tap that the dishwasher is connected to delivers water and that the water loading pipe of the dishwasher is not restricted at any point. If the dishwasher is connected to a water softener, check that said softener’s taps are open and in the correct water delivery position; if the water softener is electronic, check that it is on. If the dishwasher is connected to an osmosis system, check that said system is on and there is no error message on the display. Check if the impeller jets are unobstructed and clear of any limescale; clean them, if necessary. With hood dishwashers, make sure that the knob is not in the “0” position. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishwasher does not stop filling with water?

Check that the overflow is inserted correctly in place and pushed all the way in; check that the overflow gasket is perfectly intact, otherwise request a spare. Make sure that the dishwasher is positioned perfectly level. Be sure to completely empty the tank every evening or after the end of a service shift. With hood dishwashers, make sure that the knob is not in the “0” position. Try emptying the tank and filling it again. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishwasher does not stop rinsing?

Check that the overflow is inserted correctly in place and pushed all the way in; check that the overflow gasket is perfectly intact, otherwise request a spare. Check that the filter has been fully inserted correctly and that the water level is just below the overflow level. If the dishwasher continues to rinse even when the tank is full, drain the tank completely and reload it. It is always advisable to drain the tank completely at the end of the day by starting the Self-cleaning cycle (if this function is available). If the problem persists, contact an A1:G47 assistance centre.

What should I do if the wash cycle does not start?

Check that the dishwasher door is closed all the way; if necessary, remove the items that prevent it from closing properly. With hood dishwashers, start the wash cycle by making sure the handle is pushed all the way down. If the dishwasher has a display, make sure that “Ready” appears on the display. Make sure that the magnets that allow the door to close are installed on the door and intact. If the dishwasher is electronic, try disconnecting and reconnecting the power to the dishwasher, switch the dishwasher on and hold down the cycle start button for a long time, clean the glass carefully and remove any protective film from the display. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the wash cycle starts but I do not hear the pump working?

If the display shows the progress of the cycle but you cannot hear the wash pump running, or if the cycle light comes on (on electromechanical dishwashers without a display), the wash pump is blocked. Try unblocking it by opening and closing the door quickly with the cycle in progress. Be very careful as the cycle may start unexpectedly: use protective gloves and goggles. Leave the dishwasher switched off for 1 hour to let the pump cool and check if the problem is solved. If the problem is not resolved, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if at the end of the wash cycle another one starts?

If the dishwasher is electronic, remove any protective film from the display and clean and dry the display. Make sure the door is closed properly and fits onto the gasket. If the dishwasher is electromechanical, check if the cycle start button is jammed. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the wash cycle continues indefinitely?

Try disconnecting and reconnecting the current to the dishwasher. If the dishwasher is electromechanical with a wash time selector, make sure you have selected a wash time. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishwasher creates foam?

Verify that you are using specific professional detergents, which are suitable for the water delivered to the dishwasher (hard, soft or osmotic). Avoid prewashing by hand with detergents as some residue would come into contact with the wash water and alter its properties. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishwasher does not rinse?

Check that the rinse nozzles are free from limescale or other impurities, that the impellers are not blocked by build-up that prevents them from rotating correctly, that the dishes are not positioned incorrectly and preventing the correct flow of rinse water. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the glasses come out wet?

Check whether the rinse aid is finished. Make sure that the impellers of the dishwasher spin freely; check that all the nozzles of the impellers are clean and free from limescale deposits. Make sure the dishwasher reaches the adequate temperature before starting the wash cycle. Check that the overflow gasket is perfectly intact and request a spare if it needs to be replaced; and check that the overflow is correctly fitted into place. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the glasses have white streaks on them?

If the white streaks are easily removed by rinsing the glass, there is probably a water softener upstream releasing too much sodium: limit the regeneration cycles. Check for any foam in the tank and change the dishwasher water. Make sure that the impellers of the dishwasher spin freely; check that all the nozzles of the impellers are clean and free from limescale deposits. If the white streaks are not removed easily, there may be some limescale deposit, in which case, an upstream water softener or an osmosis system must be installed. If the water softener is already installed it is probably necessary to regenerate or replace the resins. Contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the glasses have blue/coloured streaks on them?

Blue/coloured streaks indicate poor rinsing. Check that the rinse nozzles are free from limescale or other impurities, that the impellers are not blocked by residue preventing them from spinning correctly, that the dishes are not positioned incorrectly preventing the correct flow of rinse water. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the dishes are not clean?

Check that the detergent and rinse aid are not finished; check that the hose inserted in the tank is fully immersed; and that the extraction filter is clean and immersed in the product.
Check that all the dishwasher filters are clean, check that the wash impellers spin freely and that all the jets are clean. Make sure the water is changed at least 2-3 times a day or when the water is very dirty.
Make sure that the dishes are placed in the rack correctly: the dishes must not overlap, the rack must not be overloaded, the smaller cups should not be placed in the corners of the rack and the arrangement must ensure that all dishes are exposed to the water jet.
Be sure to always use the suitable wash cycle for the type of items being washed. Do not place encrusted pots or pans in the dishwasher without pre-soaking. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the wash cycle starts every time I close the dishwasher door or hood?

Contact a skilled technician.

What should I do if the dishwasher does not drain the water?

Check that the “overflow” pipe is inserted properly, that the filter is clean and that there is no residue inside the drain and that the drain pipe has a gradient of about 2-3 cm. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if the bottom of the tank starts to turn black?

Use only liquid industrial detergent and rinse-aid, like those supplied by us or with an equivalent composition, suitable for dosage with the dosing pumps already installed inside the dishwasher. The detergent must be low in caustic soda, which can cause the steel to turn black. Do not add bleach to the wash water as it may damage the steel parts of the dishwasher

What should I do if the bottom of the tank starts to turn brown?

The brown patina on the bottom of the dishwasher is a sign of coffee deposit caused by the low concentration of detergent in the tank. Make sure that the detergent in the tank is not finished; make sure that the detergent and rinse aid intake hoses are inserted correctly into the tank with the relative anchoring weight resting on the bottom of the tank. Check that the filter installed on the intake hoses is free and clean; make sure that the hoses are not restricted at any point. Use only liquid industrial detergent and rinse-aid, like those supplied by us or with an equivalent composition, suitable for dosage with the dosing pumps already installed inside the dishwasher.
Be sure to always use the suitable program for the type of dishes being washed as each program has different dosage concentrations. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if I notice dots that look like rust on the bottom of the tank?

Never wash iron or cast iron items inside the dishwasher. Do not clean any part of the dishwasher with metal scourers because their residue may settle at the bottom and rust, thereby damaging the steel of the wash tank.
Use only liquid industrial detergent and rinse-aid, like those supplied by us or with an equivalent composition, suitable for dosage with the dosing pumps already installed inside the dishwasher. The detergent must be low in caustic soda, which can damage the steel. Do not add bleach to the wash water as it may damage the steel parts of the dishwasher. Remove rust stains with scotch-brite scouring pads and specific cream to clean the steel and rinse thoroughly.

ELECTRONIC DISHWASHERS

What should I do if “wait for boiler to fill” appears on the display?

This message indicates that there is no water inside the boiler. The wash cycle in progress remains in “standby” until the boiler fills up. No action is required as this is not an anomaly.

What should I do if “maintenance required” appears on the display?

Request technical intervention for a dishwasher inspection. This message does not block the dishwasher and it can be used as usual. When there is a maintenance warning, the display remains on even when the dishwasher is switched off.

What should I do if “no salt” appears on the display?

Make sure the dishwasher is empty, open the salt reservoir cap inside the dishwasher and add about 1kg of salt. It
is recommended to use specific coarse (1-4mm) salt for dishwashers, taking care not to pour it onto the bottom of the tank so as to prevent the steel from rusting and compromising correct dishwasher operation. After filling the container, screw the cap back on tightly. The no salt message will disappear as soon as the salt dissolves; pour water into the reservoir to facilitate the dissolving process.
The autonomy with 1 kg of salt depends on the hardness of the supply water, set by the installer at the time of dishwasher installation. It is recommended to immediately top up the salt
as soon as the “NO SALT” message appears on the display so as to prevent the formation of limescale, which would compromise the components of the machine, and which will not be covered by the warranty. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if “caution: hot steam” appears on the display?

This message only appears if the dishwasher reaches the operating temperature and the door is open. If the message does not disappear when the door is closed, check whether there is an object inside the dishwasher preventing the door from closing correctly. It is recommended to always use original racks or others of compatible size. Check the integrity of the door closing magnets; if damaged, ask your assistance centre to replace them. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.

What should I do if “door is open” appears on the display?

This message only appears if the dishwasher temperature drops and the door is open.

What should I do if I have to charge the Detergent and Rinse-aid pipes?

What should I do if error 1 “Tank loading timeout” appears on the display?

Check that the overflow is properly fitted into place and that its gasket is intact; if worn, ask for it to be replaced. This error may appear if the dishwasher has been switched off for several hours with the water in the tank; be sure to empty the tank before starting to load it. Reset the error by simply switching the dishwasher off and back on again. If the problem persists, contact an authorised assistance centre.
